Barratt Homes Parc Tyn y Coed, Bridgend

We were pleased to support Barratt Homes’ successful application to change the previous planning permission for 300 houses at Sarn, Bridgend. This involved changes to the access arrangements and removing the requirement for a second access.

University of Aberystwyth

We assisted the University of Aberystwyth to secure planning consent at Penglais Farm for 1,000 bedroom student accommodation. The key issues that we dealt with included the capacity of the immediate trunk road network to meet the predicted demand. We proposed adequate mitigation measures, junction improvements and the production of a Travel Plan.

Jehu Property Services

Working with Jehu Property Services, we helped resolve outstanding issues related to the submission of a planning application for a new 2,000 sq.m. office development. The site is located at Baglan Energy Park and will be occupied by NPT Homes headquarters. We produced a Travel Plan and supported the level of on-site parking based on site accessibility factors.

University of Glamorgan’s Annual Travel Survey

We completed the University of Glamorgan’s Annual Travel Survey of students and staff. The survey results from over 1,000 students and staff are used to identify existing travel patterns, compare with previous years and monitor the effectiveness of the Travel Plan. This information combined with the preferences expressed in the surveys is then used to make recommendations to changes or the need for further measures.

We have provided written representations to the Monmouthshire County Plan for a number of land owners wishing to pursue residential developments across Monmouthshire. The representations seek to secure housing allocation of their land through the Local Development Plan process.
