Asbri Transport have had quite a year.

We’ve advised and successfully provided transport planning services to several national house builders and many social housing providers, 4 major new school applications, several drive-throughs and processed 3 x S247 highway stopping up applications. We’ve also contributed to several LDP reps.

We have advised 2 health boards in Wales on important NHS developments.

In addition, we continue our travel planning activities and are pleased to see many clients now committing to, and implementing TPs with enthusiasm.

Asbri Transport Limited are pleased to have provided all transport planning services for Taylor Wimpey Plc for a 230-unit residential development on land near Grafton Lane and adjacent to the A49 trunk Road, to the south of the city of Hereford.

The development will be served by a new signal-controlled junction providing access to the A49 trunk road. It will also deliver a Traffic Regulation Order to allow a section of Grafton Lane in the vicinity of the site to be only be used by pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians.

The project entailed the production of a comprehensive Transport Assessment, technical addenda, a Travel Plan and a Walking, Cycling and Horse-Riding Assessment to DMRB standard, believed to be one of the first undertaken in the UK.

We worked successfully with SYSTRA who undertook VISSIM strategic traffic modelling of the development’s impact on the A49. We were also involved with the safety audit process relevant to the highway works that will provide the development’s access from the trunk road. We led on all transport planning negotiations with National Highways during the extensive planning process.

We have worked collaboratively since 2015 with a multi-disciplinary project team and successfully led all negotiations with National Highways, and Herefordshire Council, the local Highway Authority from scheme inception to conclusion of the outline planning process.

Asbri Transport are pleased to have provided all transport and travel planning services to this 328 bedroom purpose-built student accommodation scheme in Swansea. The scheme received planning permission on 3rd November and will improve the pedestrian realm in its locality with active and sustainable travel improvements following from the Section 106 Agreement. A Travel Plan will be implemented at the development that will encourage and facilitate active and sustainable travel to nearby Universities and other trips made by residents and visitors to the development.

We have provided transport planning services to several student accommodation schemes in both Swansea and Cardiff.

 

Asbri Transport Limited are pleased to have provided all transport planning services to this mixed-use (retail & residential) development in Mumbles, Swansea.  We produced a comprehensive Transport Assessment, which assessed the development’s impact on the local area and the nearby pedestrian environment. We led on bus movement considerations during the planning process and for the duration of the development’s construction.

The M&S Food Hall commenced trading on 22nd January 2020.

 

 

Work has started on the £14million fire, police and ambulance campus in Milton Keynes that is being built on a former MKDP site in West Ashland.

Asbri Transport provided all transport planning services to the project which included production of a Transport Assessment, Travel Plan and procurement of a Road Safety Audit.  We successfully negotiated all highways and transport issues with both the local Highway Authority and Highways England due to the site’s proximity to the A5 trunk road

 

 

Asbri Transport have successfully provided all transport planning services to a large mixed-use development of 450 houses and 32,000m2 of employment gfa in NE Cam, Gloucestershire.  The project required considerable liaison with Gloucestershire Highways and technical submissions to Highways England.  The project recently achieved outline planning permission.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Asbri Transport has been appointed to produce access appraisals and construction management plans for eight solar parks in Wales and Southern England in the last two weeks!  The rapid growth of solar parks looks set to continue despite plans to reduce subsidies in the sector.

Successfully achieved consent for a change of use at Neath Port Talbot Hospital from nursing accommodation to hospital office administration use.

We produced a Transport Statement and access design for a local foodstore in Gowerton which received consent today.
